The Biggest Update Yet: Inside the Film Room's Preseason Overhaul

We've been heads-down for the last 24 hours shipping the single biggest wave of updates since launch. Here's everything that's new across The Film Room.

A redesigned home screen

The home screen now runs on our four pillars — KNOW, DECIDE, PREDICT, COMPETE — with a cleaner Quick Access row and dedicated Mode Hubs so it's faster to jump straight into whatever you want to play. Under the hood, every mode now pulls from a single Mode Registry, so navigation stays consistent as we keep adding new modes.

The AI Press Box

We replaced the old Coaches Corner tab with six new AI-powered tools: quiz generation, play explainers, league insights, and more. Think of it as your personal analyst, built into the app.

Combine Testing

A new Elo-based, persistent Combine Score follows you across every skill mode, with seven tiers from Undrafted all the way to Hall of Fame. Take the calibration quiz to find your starting tier, then track your climb over time with trend charts built right in.

NFL Pick 'Em

Straight-up weekly picks are here — no spreads, no math, just call the winner. Compete on the season-long leaderboard as we build toward a full Pick 'Em experience for the regular season.

The Preseason War Room

Our new seasonal hub, built specifically for training camp:

• Daily Camp Briefing — a curated digest of camp developments, risers, fallers, and battle updates, delivered every morning
• Position Battle Cards — vote on real depth-chart battles happening across the league right now
• A countdown to August 30th roster cutdown day, when we'll score your predictions against the real outcome

Custom Playbook

A brand-new DECIDE-pillar mode: walk through a real situation, pick your side, choose your formation, call your play, and see it diagrammed out — then get an AI verdict on your play-calling with a personal Play Caller Rating.

Front Office IQ

Our deepest DECIDE-pillar mode yet: run a full 18-week GM season across all 32 teams, managing standings and making the calls that shape a franchise.
