New on Dark Reel: Live Sports Ticker, Connections Mode, and a Bigger Play Hub

The Play hub just got a serious upgrade. New ticker. New games. And Connections drops today.

If you haven't been to darkreelstudios.com/play in a week, you're going to notice the difference immediately.

The Live Sports Ticker

Right at the top of the Play page — full width, scarlet LIVE badge, pulsing dot — we now run a continuous ticker with three feeds mixed together:

Scores in gold — NBA Finals, MLB, UFC fight nights
News in white — headlines, injury reports, schedule drops
Gaming in scarlet — Dark Reel launches, EA Sports drops, web release dates

It loops every 60 seconds and refreshes automatically. Tonight, when NBA Finals Game 3 tips off at 8:30 PM ET, the Knicks–Spurs item flips to a pulsing scarlet LIVE badge — same logic we'll roll out to every marquee game from here on.

The goal: when you land on Play, you immediately know what's happening in sports right now — not yesterday's recap.

New and Updated Game Modes
